Decades later across territorial waters, VNS Matrix’s lines like  “We are the modern cunt,” words charged with gender undertone of flesh and bones, still proved to us that the cyber blank slate has not meant the possibility to embrace the other, but could also mean, more often than not, the ability to cloak oneself in anonymity and continue to inflict harms on the marginalized. “The clitoris is a direct line to the matrix,” and behind the screen sits a being formed by the machine.
